The men in my life

truly care about me. My friends are split equally between guys and gals. Where as the gals critizise everything i do and all my problems, the men have been genuinly concerned and are alwas there for me. I get calls from them at odd hours asking how i am otu of the blue. They try to help solve my problems and are just some of my closest friends. I love my boys.

Expression of Opinion

Here in the US we believe everyone has the right to express their opinion, well not in my house. On no uncertain terms was i told “Your opinion does not matter withen this household nor do we want to hear it. You will treat adults as your superiors for you are our property.” Can you say extreme much? I was ready to call child protective services, i swear my parents have mental issues. My dad lives in a fantasy realm and my mum is both OCD and over-controlling.

metaphorically left behind. In my dysfunctional family I have a brother and mother who fight with each other constantly. They are both too stubborn to compromise. My mum has asked my dad many times to help intervene or even just be a member of the family. My dad, with the stresses at work, unhappiness at not achieving his dreams, and not having the will power to intervene has secluded himself in the worlds of Second Life and Serenity cosplaying. He has left me behind to deal with my mum and brother’s screaming matches. My mum takes her anger/stress of my brother out on me. She gets mad at me over little things and has to control every part of my life. She pays so much attention to the little things in my life that she doesn’t know what really goes on. My mum physically leaves me behind in the way that she leaves me at my activities/school for hours after they get out. She has metaphorically left me behind because she has deemed me a lost cause. I refuse to go to church because we do not share the same beliefs. Therefore, in her eyes, I am an unhappy person who doesn’t look at the world deeply enough. I have too loose of morals and not going to be successful. She routinely says I will never achieve my dreams. My brother is probably the only one who hasn’t left me behind because he never was truly apart of my life anyway, he had no respect for me to begin with (when I came home from the hospital after I was born he threw a doll house at me, trying to kill me). My cat has left me behind because she doesn’t sleep on my bed anymore.:(

Parents are always right

Warning: This is not one of those teenage angst posts.

Why do parental units always have to be right. I unknowingly tested this today. When being driven to an event i told me mum clearly when to pick me up, and multiple times she asks if it was at a time 30 minutes later than i was telling her, and i was say ‘no’ then gove her the correct time. When pick up time came around i called and she said no it was at the time she kept thinking it was. Throughout the car ride home she said i was wrong i had told her it was the time 30 minutes later than the one i told her and she was not senile, my comebakc was neither was i. My mum then brought up her usual defense of ‘I am the adult, i know better than you, and whatever i say is true, i am never wrong’ in basically those words. How juvenile. Sometimes, yes us teens do make mistakes and say the wrong time/event/whatever but not all the time and yet we are always wrong. It is as if once you become a parent you are automatically right about everything. I think the problem is they are so used to teaching us and are not prepared for when we can prove them wrong on things. Their ego has grown so big that their pride can’t take any blows and they use the universal escuse ‘the parent is always right’. Maybe there should be a class for parents that dulls their ego a ton.

Send me death threats

So to try out a theory I ask the world at large to send me death threats and include a picture and/or video showing how you would do it. You may personify your morbid whims on clay, paper, or any other craft material but I will scorn those who use a living and/or once living creature/alien/humanoid to demonstrate how you will kill me. The manner you must present how you will kill me will go as follows….1. Start off by identifying your relation to me (Use your creativity juices)2. Explain how you will capture me (I am very hard to capture)3. What foreplay will be used (torture, sexual, tea parties, you name it) before you kill me.4. Including the aforementioned picture, HOW WILL YOU KILL ME?I ask the general populace to not actually carry out these plans, por favor.“The human mind can come up with the most creative ways to cause pain, easily.”-Random teacher on Draw and Quartering

Rules

Be silent; don’t push each other, basic classroom rules. Then there are the crazy ones, such as nothing on your desk when the teacher is talking, no being creative. Why such weird rules. Well we all have pet peeves, I personally don’t like kids being nasty to each other or being uncreative. As a counselor in training and support staff at my local YMCA I would encourage and make rules that encourage kids to be creative in solving their own solutions and being nice. When I think back on it some of those rules seem pretty crazy.Example 1: “You have to stay in an A plus line like rocks.” Ok so first never say this to a gaggle of 5 year olds because they will curl into rocks and the line won’t even be straight and they will giggle about it. It’s so much easier to have them in a line for head counts but sometimes you’ve gotta relent and let them be a rampage.Example 2: “We are not elephants!” Pretty self explanatory, Elephants= loud noise.Example 3: “We don’t move the foam blocks around.” They are there to be moved around but the people get pissed at you if your kids move them which mean a fate worse than Brussels sprouts.So anyway back to the main theme, we’ve got crazy rules because people have pet peeves and put those rules there so they don’t get ticked off. So either respect them or start a revolution…Now for some pretty pictures

Magnetic Fields and Science Posters

I saw a poster of the effect of solar rays in my science classroom which made me remember a question that’s stumped me for awhile. On the poster it shows the earths magnetic field, which is smaller toward the sun and creates this tail behind it. Why is that?

Time to consult wikipedia…

Magnetic fields extend infinitely, though they are weaker further from their source. As the Earth’s magnetic field extends several tens of thousands of kilometres from Earth, into space, it is called the magnetosphere.

I have this way of taking a concept and taking it to this crazy level that kinda scares people. I love pushing my comfort level and i have a passion for living life to it’s fullest because this is our one shot to experiance it, after that we are just rotting corpses. I love people who are ready to have fun, open, and ecperiance new things.

So that’s a little bit about me, apparently i’m super smart so if you have any nerdy questions that have been stumping you then feel free to ask.
